Refund & Rescheduling Policies

All refund and rescheduling requests must be submitted via email to support@lifeguardingacademy.com

1* We will be considering the time that your email is sent, not the time that we see it. 2* Rescheduled courses are not refundable. 3* Rescheduling multiple times is subjected to administrative fees. 4* Course fees do not include any additionally purchased add-ons. 5* Tax is additional.

Refunds:

If you need to cancel your course at Lifeguarding Academy and want a refund, you will need to send an email to support@lifeguardingacademy.com at least 2 business days before the start of your course. The refund amount is subject to deduction of an administrative fee depending on how long before the start of the course you are submitting the request.

The administrative fee rate are a follows:

- More than 5 days before the course: $35 fee
- 3-5 days before the course: $75 fee
- Less than 2 days before the course: Not refundable
- After the start of the course: Not refundable

Rescheduling:

If you need to reschedule your course at Lifeguarding Academy, you must send an email to support@lifeguardingacademy.com. Once we process your request, we will provide you with a digital gift certificate that you may use to register into any course offered by Lifeguarding Academy at any other date that works better for you. Your gift certificate may be subject to the deduction of an administrative fee (as listed below) depending on how many days before the start of the course you send us your email request. In any event, your email will be deemed to have been received at the date and time of delivery (so long as you do not receive an automated bounce-back email or other error message).

- More than 5 days before the course: No fee (full credit)
- 3-5 days before the course: $50 fee
- Less than 2 days before the course: You'll receive a credit for 50% of the pre-tax course fees
- After the start of the course: You'll receive a credit for 50% of the pre-tax course fees

Your gift-certificate will never expire, and can be transferred to someone else if you wish, upon written notice and with Lifeguarding Academy's written consent. Credits & gift certificates cannot be converted into cash or otherwise.

Course Material:

Purchased or rented course material are non-refundable once received by the student. Rented manuals are to be returned at the end of the course in a condition similar to how it was receive - normal wear and tear is perfectly fine. Should the materials be damaged or not returned for any reason, you will be charged the full value of the material plus HST.

Online-only courses (webinars) are final sale and are not eligible for refunds.

Lifeguarding Academy reserves the right to refuse service to anyone at their own discretion. Reasons for refusal of service can include but not be limited to inappropriate conduct or harrassing other students and/or instructors. Students found in violation of our code of conduct will not be eligible for refunds or credits.
