Great Experience

Lifeguard Academy was the only place to offer multiple recert classes that fit my schedule. It is so nice having flexibility with something like this as opposed to last minute efforts to find a course. The instructors were very clear and helpful. The entire experience was learning based. I really liked this program, I got my bronze medallion and cross over one weekend; the instructor was awesome, the training was intense, the only negatives I experienced was having to get up early because I live far away and after spending 6 hours in the pool it was freezing. Overall super awesome and I highly recommend.

Amazing course. Juan was enthusiastic and filled with so many stories. He was extremely knowledgeable and considerate. He was great at accommodating everyone in the class despite language barriers, different skill levels etc. Overall really enjoyable course and Juan's experience and unique teaching style turned what could have been a dry boring 8 hours into an enjoyable learning experience. My daughter recently completed her Bronze Cross with Lifeguarding Academy. My daughter did her research and found the Academy on her own and convinced me that we should travel for an hour to finally get this done!!! Well, I have to say this was the first time that a swimming course was not stressful for her. She loved the instructor, the other participants and the format. Most notably, coming from North Durham she saw people in aquatic leadership positions that look like her. This is key to inclusion and diversity. Hats off to the Academy and continued success!

Hassan was able to keep everyone engaged and having fun regardless of how long the day felt. He was 100% dedicated to helping us learn in and out of the water to make sure we are all successful.

Very professional and informative. The methods and contents taught are extremely in-line with the performance 'must see' criteria set by The Lifesaving Society. I would generally recommend this place to anyone looking to take their life-saving/teaching skills to the next level

The instructor was fantastic!! Not only did I learn a lot but it was actually interesting. I stayed interested and engaged throughout, I definitely made the right call coming here and I'll make sure to send my kids here once they're old enough!

I completed my NLS with the Lifeguarding Academy and loved every minute of it. My instructor, Krystal King, aka Special K was kind, patient, and knowledgable. She made sure everyone was having fun while learning how to be the best lifeguard ever. The Lifeguarding Academy has filled a niche in the business and can be proud of all their company has done. Thanks for the amazing experience!

Over the past 6 weeks I have been doing courses that will eventually allow me to peruse a career in life guarding and after 6 weeks I am truly grateful with what this organization has provided for me. I learned many things in the past 6 weeks more than anyone can imagine, and I feel that I am very prepared to become a lifeguard. This is all thanks to my great and helpful instructor Kristal King, who has helped me achieve my heights potential and has guided me every step of the way.
